Vectors in general are agents that carry an agent.

In case of DNA vector we have vector as :

  • A DNA molecule section that can be incorporated with another foreign DNA molecule.

Selecting a vector is a challenging task , it should take into account factors including antibiotic resistance.

Examples of vectors include : Artificial plasmids
