The first multi-tank impeller stirrer for froth Flotation Equipment, the inflatable flotation machine invented by John Callow in 1913, and the inflatable flotation column invented by Robert Towne and Frederick Flinn were manufactured. 

In 1914 Callow G patented a flotation device that injects air from the porous bottom of the trough. In 1915 Durrel made a prototype of a jet flotation machine. In the 1920s, foreign manufacturers developed various types of mechanical agitation flotation machines and inflatable mechanical agitation flotation machines in order to meet the needs of the flourishing copper industry in the power industry.
