Once i saw a bottle of de-ionized battery water in college premises.I wonder where they are used ?

What are their applications ?

De-ionised water does not have sodium or calcium ions , they are removed using ion exchange methods.

Hence most ions are removed,hence they are used in cleaning purpose like cleaning solar panels, cleaning glass frames.

Personally i have seen a guy cleaning a glass board using deionised water..also some cooling process in welding also use deionised water.

Yes, De-ionised water is used for cleaning purpose.  It is great to clean glasses.
